An acute disease of cattle characterized by emphysematous swelling usually in heavy muscles. Healthy animals in the age group of 6-24 months are generally affected. Major source of infection appears to be contaminated pasture.

 

Common symptoms:

High fever, hot and painful swelling on loin and buttocks occurs.
