"Centre for Analysis and Learning in Livestock and Food (CALF)" is a multi-disciplinary analytical laboratory of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) a newest group set up in year 2009  as single window to cater to the testing needs of Dairy & Food Industries. With state-of-the-art equipment and qualified technical staff, CALF offers a range of reliable and accurate analytical services in the field of dairy products, food, fruit and vegetables, animal feed and genetics at an affordable cost. CALF is committed to provide high quality testing services; value-added training and R&D support services by meeting customer requirements as per Regulatory, Statutory and relevant National/International standards, while implementing the Laboratory Quality Management System as per ISO/IEC: 17025. CALF relentlessly works to ensure operational integrity and confidentiality. Dairy cooperatives and State Dairy Federations, Livestock Boards, Government Departments, Regulatory Agencies, Universities, NDDB internal groups and Subsidiaries, Private Feed and Food Manufacturers across the country avail CALF’s services for product compliance, quality evaluation and Research & Development purposes.

CALF imparts its core values to newly joined employees and trainees in form of an interactive session/presentation. Core values are explained in detail and expectation from employees are clearly stated. New recruits are provided with confidentiality & impartiality statement to be followed without any compromise.

The new recruits are guided into the fold by the seniors in the smooth manner, and seniors take care in ensuring that the NDDB values are conveyed to new recruits through their actions rather than words. CALF is committed to ensure strict compliance to our systems, quality procedures and provide factual report every time irrespective of the situation or consequences.

  • Inform customers about their sample status and reports in a truthful manner.
  • Notify the customer when an error has occurred and send an amended test report.
  • Build expertise by staying up-to-date in core competent area of testing by successfully qualifying several external assessments, proficiency testing, inter laboratory comparison and other QA activities.
  • Keep our word, deliver on our promises and acknowledge our mistakes. In all that we do, we believe that our reputation is more important than any other short-term rewards.
