Dairy whitener is prepared by mixing partial skimmed milk with sucrose, dextrose or dextrin powder and this mixture is dried through condensing and spray drying process.

NDDB has the production technology of making dairy whitener. Dairies that have manufacturing facility for skim milk powder or whole milk powder can adopt the same for dairy whitener with minimal investment. The product has shelf life of 12 months when packed in polyfilm, plastic jar and bag-in-box pouch pack and stored at room temperature.


Sweetened condensed milk is basically concentrated milk to which sugar has been added. Due to high sugar content, it has high osmotic pressure in which most of the microorganisms cannot grow. Its manufacturing at a dairy plant requires considerable capital investment. The product has a shelf life of 12 months when hygienically packed in tin containers.
